Anthony L. Centrella, Sr.,
of Quincy died Friday May 27 at the Royal Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Braintree. He was 82 years old.
Born on June 8, 1928 in Bronx, New York, he was the loving son of the late Fiore and Antonette (Scioli) Centrella. Mr. Centrella worked as a Machinist for the former Norfolk Conveyer Company of Cohasset and previously at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy.
Mr. Centrella was the loving father of Anthony Centrella Jr. and his wife Cece of Quincy, Cheryl Centrella and her partner Jan Witter of Florida and Paul Centrella and his wife Lori of Hanover. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael and David Centrella and great-grandfather of Jacob, Douglas and Cassidy. He was the dear brother of Frank, Joseph, Michael, Lucille, Rose, Domenica and the late Fiore, Jr.
Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Tuesday May 31 from 4-8pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Centrella's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
