Peppino "Peppe" Sceppa,
of Quincy passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 24 at Quincy Medical Center. He was 80 years old. He was the beloved and cherished husband of Wanda (Amatucci) Sceppa for 50 years.
Born on February 1, 1931 in Campolieto Campobasso, Italy, he was the loving son of the late Nicola and Isaura (Mariani) Sceppa. Mr. Sceppa was a Brick Mason for the Bricklayers Union Local 52 in Boston where he retired after 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the clarinet and was a passionate World Soccer Fan and cherished watching it with his grandchildren.
Mr. Sceppa was the loving father of Mary Bucca and her husband Frank of Weymouth and Rosanna Nigro and her husband Carmine of Hingham. He was the cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Gianluca and Andrew. He was the dear brother of Giovanni Sceppa of Quincy, Saverio Sceppa of Weymouth, Gina Gioncardi of Quincy, Carmela Mancina of Rockland, Anna Palmiero of Quincy and Vincent Sceppa of Weymouth.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Saturday May 28 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery.
