Adelina "Lena" (Fiumana) Monticone,
of Hingham, died Tuesday, April 19 at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham after a long illness. She was 95 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Fiorino E. "Lindy" Monticone for 57 years.
Born in Boston on November 4, 1915, she was the loving daughter of the late Angelo and Adele (Bertozzi) Fiumana. She resided in Quincy for 44 years prior to moving to Hingham. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and bowling with her late husband.
Mrs. Monticone was the devoted mother of Frederick Monticone of Halifax and Steven Monticone and his wife Barbara of Hingham. She was the cherished grandmother of Danielle Schmulen and her husband Brian of Houston, Lisa Wolpers and her husband Mark of Cohasset, Stephanie Monticone and Andrew Monticone, both of Hingham and great-grandmother of 5. She was the dear sister of Pia Fiumana of Quincy and the late Pauline Fiumana and Louis Fiumana. She is also survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Arrangements being made by the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy. A Funeral Blessing will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy on Saturday April 23 at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private.
