Ovidio W. "Bill" Ottina,
of Quincy died Sunday January 9 at Milton Hospital. He was 87 years old. He was the beloved and cherished husband of Elena (Quintiliani) Ottina for 65 years.
Born in Quincy on November 28, 1923, he was the loving son of the late Alfonzo and Adele (Ghatti) Ottina.
Mr. Ottina was the Owner of the Welles Co. Inc., formerly of Quincy and Co-Owner of De Jay Corp. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. His one true passion was he loved his wife madly from their beginning up until his very end.
Mr. Ottina was the loving father of Lisa (Ottina) Raymond of Braintree and the late William J. Ottina. He was the father-in-law of Denise Ottina of Marshfield and Richard Raymond of Braintree. He was the cherished grandfather of Jamie, Josh, Zack and Nick.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy on Thursday, January 13 at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy. Due to impending weather conditions, visiting hours will also be extended prior to Mass on Thursday from 9:30-11:00am. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
