Elsa M. (Casagrande) Zanolli,
a lifelong resident of Quincy died Tuesday December 28 at home. She was 98 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Primo Zanolli.
Born in Quincy on November 27, 1912, she was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Martina (Ceriani) Casagrande.
She worked in the Food Service Department of the Quincy Public Schools at the Lincoln Hancock School and the Willard School for 33 years. She was a 53 year member of the Stella Del Nord ladies Lodge of the Quincy Sons of Italy. She was a member of the Ward 4 Senior Citizens Group in Quincy and the St. Mary's Senior Citizens Group.
Mrs. Zanolli was the loving mother of Paul Zanolli and his wife Karen of Plympton, Elsie Heath and her husband Donald of Weymouth, Geraldine Murphy and her husband James of Hanover and Helen Kelley and her husband Richard of Marshfield. She was the cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Rose Herbert of Quincy and Joseph Casagrande of Norwell.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Monday January 3 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Zanolli's memory to Beacon Hospice, 529 Main Street, Suite 101, Charlestown, MA 02129 or St. Mary's Church, 115 Crescent Street, Quincy MA 02169.
