Anthony Oriola

Anthony Oriola, a lifelong resident of Quincy died Monday December 27 at Quincy Medical Center. He was 75 years old. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Doherty) Oriola for 52 years.

Born in Quincy on December 28, 1934, he was the loving son of the late Ventura and Lena (Gabriel) Oriola. He was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1954. He was a Photo Engraver for the Franklin Engraving Company, formerly of Boston, for 22 years. He then retired from the Boston Globe after 22 years of service as a Photo Engraver as well. He served in the United States Navy Reserve for 8 years. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball for the City of Quincy.

Mr. Oriola was the loving father of Gary Oriola and his wife Moniek of Marshfield, Gregory Oriola and his wife Gina of Braintree, Glen Oriola and his wife Theresa of Quincy and Barbara Connolly and her husband Paul of Weymouth. He was the cherished grandfather of Anthony, Amanda, Fallon, Jason, Olivia, Sasha, Hannah, Troy, Vanessa, Dean, Lynn and Craig and great-grandfather of A.J. He was the dear brother of Theresa Burke of Brockton and the late Michael Oriola.

Arrangements being made by the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy. A Funeral Mass Will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy on Friday December 31 at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery. Burial will be private.
