Armand Joseph Dion,
of Mansfield, formerly of Norton, died Friday December 10 at home. He was 91 years old. He was the beloved husband of Diletta A. (Pascucci) Dion for 53 years.
Born in Norton on June 22, 1919, he was the loving son of the late Arthur and Clementine (Bellevance) Dion. Mr. Dion was a Forman in the Textile Industry and retired from Defiance Bleachery in Norton after 25 years of service. He served in the United States Army during WWII where he received the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal and was honored with 2 Bronze Service Stars. He was a Boston Sports Fan, enjoyed gardening vegetables, loved watching his grandchildren play sports and was a Communicant at St. Mary's Parish.
Mr. Dion was the loving father of Gregg Dion and his wife Julie of Mansfield, David Dion and his wife Nancy of Mansfield and Lisa Brule of N. Attleboro. He was the cherished Grandfather of Andrew, Matthew, Michael, Mitchell, Daniel and Jake and the dear brother of 8 predeceased siblings.
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street, Mansfield on Tuesday December 14 at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106), Mansfield at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 3-6pm. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
