Lucy (Petrelli) Taddeo, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died peacefully at home on Tuesday April 27. She was 96. Mrs. Taddeo was the loving wife of the late Liberato Taddeo.
Born in Quincy on December 6, 1913, Mrs. Taddeo was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Donata (DiGiantomasso) Petrelli. She attended Quincy Schools and retired from Woolworth's Department Store, formerly of Quincy, where she worked as a Stock Clerk for twenty years. Mrs. Taddeo was a member of the St. John's Church Ladies Sodality and the St. John's M2 Group. She also enjoyed cooking for her large family.
Mrs. Taddeo is the loving mother of Donna (Taddeo) Ricks of Quincy and the late Donald Taddeo. She is the grandmother of Jeannine Montgomery and her husband Rick of Abington, Donna Bjork and her husband Tom of Abington and the late Edward Ricks. Mrs. Taddeo is also the great-grandmother of Carlee, Faith, Eve, Hope, Allan and Jeremy. She was also the sister of the late Anthony, Lawrence, Louie, Jack, Frank and Jessie Petrelli and Leona Pagnano.
Her Funeral will be from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Saturday May 1 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John's Church, 44 School St., Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8pm. Interment in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
