Irma V. (Westberg) Richards died on Saturday November 13 at Hancock Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Quincy. She was 81 years old. The beloved wife of the late Arthur W. Richards and the loving daughter of the late John and Irja (Karvonen) Westberg. She was born on August 3, 1929 in Quincy where she spent most of her life.
Irma enjoyed traveling, watching sports and cooking large Sunday dinners for her family and anyone who happened to stop by. She was deeply devoted to her entire family and was known for bringing joy and laughter to those around her.
She is survived by her children Wayne A. Richards of Jacksonville, FL., Dona Browne and her husband Ted of Lakeville and Thomas J. Richards and his wife Nilka of Jacksonville, FL. Irma was the loving sister of Shirley Butterfield and her husband Tom of Carver, Donald Westberg and his wife Jan of Hanover, Norma Martin of Pembroke, Bonnie Damore and her husband Bill of Weymouth and her sister-in-laws Nancy Westberg of Plymouth and Mary Westberg of Middleboro. She was predeceased by her brothers Clifford Westberg and Peter Westberg, both of Plymouth, and her brother-in-law Paul Martin of Pembroke. She was the cherished grandmother of Douglas Richards, Daniel Richards, Ainsley Browne and Bethlyn Browne. She was the dear friend of Sheila Hargreaves and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday November 17 at 9:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Richard's memory to Delta Dawn, P.O. Box 394, Bryantville, MA 02327.
