Peter J. Parente, a resident of Mansfield for the past 53 years, died Saturday August 21 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was 80. Mr. Parente was the loving husband of Rose (D'Agostino) Parente.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 10, 1930, Mr. Parente was the son of the late Leo and Theresa (Romano) Parente. For over 50 years, Mr. Parente along with his brother Leo, owned and operated Parente's Chicken and Egg Farm, formerly of Mansfield. He also served in the US ARMY during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Parente is survived by his three children, Cindy Ingegneri and her husband Benedict of Mansfield, Debbie Guerrini of Foxboro and Peter Parente of Boston. He was the cherished grandfather of Kyla and Kyle Guerrini and Benedict and Kerin Ingegneri. Mr. Parente was the brother of the late Joseph Parente and the late Leo J. Parente. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Ingrid Parente and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main St., Mansfield on Wednesday August 25 at 8am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., (Rte. 106) Mansfield at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8pm. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made to St. Mary's School, 330 Pratt St., Mansfield, MA 02048.
