Rocco Michael “Rocky” Molinari

Rocco Michael “Rocky” Molinari of Mansfield, died Saturday October 24 at Upper Chesapeake Health in Bel Air, Maryland. He was the beloved husband to Elizabeth (Cinelli) Molinari for 65 years.

Born on July 26, 1920 in Norwood, he was the loving son of the late Paul and Maria (DiFonzo) Molinari. He graduated from Norwood High School in 1938 and joined the United States Army Air Force in 1942 where he served as a Sergeant in the Signal Corps. During his military service he received the Good Medal of Conduct, the American Theatre Campaign Ribbon and was honorably discharged in 1945. Mr. Molinari retired from the Attleboro Sun Chronicle after 50 years of dedicated service as a typesetter and the only machinist able to fix the huge newspaper machines. He was a member of the AMVETS, enjoyed Cape Cod in the summer and fishing at the Cape Cod Canal as well as vacationing in Florida. He had a great smile and bright blue eyes that will surely be missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Molinari is also survived by his two children, Michael Molinari and his wife Paula and Elizabeth “Betty” Williams. He was the loving brother of Beatrice Grazado and her husband Bill and the late Frank Molinari, Frances Sparrow and Victoria Kent. He was the loving grandfather “Papa Rocky” to Paul and his wife Stephaney, Brian and his wife Kelly, Lisa and her husband Karl, Matthew and Karen. He was the cherished great-grandfather to Kyle, Julia, Jason, Brianna and Chloe.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 28 at 12pm in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main St., Mansfield from 9:30-11:30am.
