Eva M. (Cappola) Mercurio, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Monday November 22 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was 91 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Mercurio.
Born in Quincy on November 18, 1919, she was the loving daughter of the late Pietro and Anna (Berardenelli) Cappola. Mrs. Mercurio was a former Cafeteria Worker for the Quincy Public Schools at the Central and Sterling Junior High Schools. She was a long time Communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Parish Senior Citizens Group as well.
Mrs. Mercurio was the loving mother of Gail Rapose and her husband Kenneth Jr. of Halifax. She was the cherished grandmother of Kenneth Rapose III. She was the dear sister of Ida Ricci of Quincy, Yolanda “Yollie” Donovan of Vero Beach, FL and the late Irma Estes, George, Emilo “Meo”, Angelo “Ralph”, Patsy “Pat” and Pietro “Peter” Cappola. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Monday November 29 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 115 Crescent Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
