Osvaldo “Ozzy” Marinilli of Quincy died Wednesday July 21 at the Quincy Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. He was 62 years old.
Born in Italy on September 22, 1947, he was the loving son of Cesidia and the late Giovellino Marinilli. Mr. Marinilli served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a long time employee of the Cemetery Department for the City of Quincy at Mt. Wollaston and Pine Hill Cemeteries. He enjoyed music, playing guitar and had a special interest in Corvettes.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Marinilli is also survived by his brother Francis Marinilli of Quincy, his sister Rosanna Morse or Weymouth and his niece Cheryl Ann Kenney and her husband Eric of Quincy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the long time companion of the late Rebecca Savage.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Monday July 26 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3-8pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Marinilli's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
