Rodolfo Marchione of Braintree, died Monday October 19 at Cambridge Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 73 years old. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Elisabetta (Mascioli) Marchione.
Born on August 23, 1936 in Cocullo, Italy, he moved to the United States in 1966 and has resided in Braintree since 1982. Mr. Marchione was a Union Laborer for many years and dedicated over 20 years of service to DeMatteo Consruction, formerly of Quincy. He was a true family man. He valued serving his family, numerous household projects and repairs and Gardening.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Marchione is also survived by his children, Carlo Marchione of Braintree and Sandra Marchione-Pileggi and her husband Roberto of Walpole. He was the cherished “Nonno” to his granddaughter Anna. He was the brother of Rio Marchione of Newburgh, NY, Stenio Marchione, Rino Marchione and Adriana LaMacchia, all of Italy as well as the late Robert Marchione. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Thursday October 22 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-8p. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
