Esther Keating of Quincy died peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, February 10 at the Queen Anne Nursing Home Inc. in Hingham. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Keating was the beloved wife of the late Francis Keating.
March 22, 1915 in Boston, she was the loving daughter of the late John F. and Celia (Carey) Adams. Esther loved swimming, skating, bowling, gardening, camping, ballroom dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Keating and her late husband won many dance contests with their beautiful waltzes.
Mrs. Keating was
the loving mother of Kathleen Bertone and her husband James of Quincy and Ann Keating of Quincy. She was the cherished grandmother of Nicole Bertone, Christopher Bertone, Edward Keating and Katherine Keating, all of Quincy. She was the loving sister of Cecilia Murphy and her husband Jeremiah J. Jr. of Weymouth and the late Mary Symes, Joseph Adams and John Adams.
Funeral from theBolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy, on Saturday February 13 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours are Friday 4-8pm. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Keating's Memory to the Salvation Army Adult Day Health Program, 6 Baxter Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
