Charles E. Foster of Quincy died Thursday, July 8 at Quincy Medical Center. He was 92 years old. He was the beloved husband of Louise (DiCroce) Foster for 64 years. Born on September 1, 1917 in West Charleston, VT., he was the loving son of the late John E. and Winifred E. (Gamache) Foster.
Mr. Foster was raised and educated in Vermont and has lived in Quincy since 1945. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from the former Grahn's Bakery of Quincy and had previously worked at the Golden Flake Bakery in Cambridge and the Mary Jane Candy CO. in Boston. He was also a member of the D.A.V. in Boston.
Mr. Foster was the loving brother to twelve predeceased siblings. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by many loving and adoring nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy, MA, on Tuesday July 13 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8pm. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery.
