Giulio DiStefano of Quincy died Friday March 12 at Avery Manor in Needham. He was 82 years old. He was the beloved husband of Edilia (DiPietro) DiStefano.
Born in Italy on August 5, 1927, he was the loving son of the late Pietro and Clotilde (Colasimone) DiStefano. Mr. DiStefano has resided in Quincy since 1968. He was a Laborer and worked for Celco Construction in Weymouth for many years. He was an avid gardener and loved to garden vegetables.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DiStefano is survived by his daughters, Tilde Gigliotti and her husband Stephen of Wellesley and Julie Friess and her husband Andrew of Attleboro. He was the cherished grandfather of Kristen, Stephanie and Nicolas. He was the loving brother of Orlando DiStefano of Italy. He is also survived by several loving Brother & Sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Tuesday March 16 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8pm. Interment in Blue Hills Cemetery. Donations may be made in Mr. DiStefano's memory to The National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33 rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
