Edward H. DiBona, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Wednesday November 25 at Quincy Medical Center. He was 86 years old. Mr. DiBona was the beloved husband of Donata (Roffo) DiBona for 61 years.
Born in Quincy on January 26, 1923, he was the loving son of the late Donato and Rita (Bettucchi) DiBona. Mr. DiBona was a graduate of the Quincy Trade School and was a Tool Inspector for 35 dedicated years at the former Boston Gear Works in N. Quincy. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of the V.F.W. in Braintree. Mr. DiBona enjoyed and valued family and his religion. He was a devoted Communicant at St. John's Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DiBona is survived by his sons, Steven DiBona of Quincy and Portsmouth, NH and Michael DiBona of Quincy. He was the loving brother of Evelyn Howard, Margie Feeman and Carol Franzi. He was the cherished grandfather to Anthony DiBona and Andrea Lorusso and great-grandfather to Annora and Regina.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Monday November 30 at 8am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Sunday 2-6pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
