Phyllis Miriam (Savard) Aimola, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Saturday January 23 at Quincy Medical Center. She was 64 years old. She was the beloved wife of Anthony E. Aimola for 47 years.
Born in Quincy on February 2, 1945, she was the loving daughter of the late Philip and Miriam Savard. She was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1962 and attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. Mrs. Aimola was a former Purchasing Agent at Miller Golf in Randolph, former Bookkeeper at Woodward Spring Shop in Quincy, former President of St. John's Jr. League and former member of the Neighborhood Club in Quincy. She was an avid gourmet cook and baker and was employed by the bakery at Roche Brothers in Quincy.
Mrs. Aimola was the loving mother of Anthony P. Aimola of Quincy, Christopher Aimola and his wife Lisa of Quincy and Dawnlisa Pellegrino and her husband Frank of Braintree. She was the devoted grandmother (Noni) of Evan and Nancy Aimola and Amanda and Julia Pellegrino. She was the precious daughter in law of Angelina and the late Anthony Aimola. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday January 27 at 8:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 9:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8pm. Donations may be made in Mrs. Aimola's memory to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 91 Longwater Circle, Norwell, MA 02061.
